    Stonehenge....

Stonehenge was absolutely beautiful. We were lucky because it poured with rain just after we left. We would have been soaked!!! Here are a couple of photos:

    Our Hols....

Friday, August 1, 2008, 09:25 AM GMT [General]

Thanks everyone for the kind words and comments about Mark's Mom. We're gonna do all we can to help her through this tough time, and hopefully she can beat it.

Wanted to leave a few pics of the last few days. We went to Rhyl in Wales on Tuesday. It rained all day but we still enjoyed ourselves. We had a fantastic thunderstorm on the beach (was over too fast for pics though  unfortunately).

Wednesday we went to Liverpool and then Blackpool. I had to visit Anfield, the home of my football club Liverpool FC, and spent a fortune in the shop! Including a Liverpool FC cat collar for Smudge - well I wouldn't want him to feel left out, lol! Hahah!

Blackpool was pretty grey and rainy too but we enjoyed ourselves. Also visited the waxworks museum there, which was good fun!

Now we're off to Stonehenge and I'm supposed to be getting ready, not blogging, so I'll just wish everyone a beautiful Lughnasadh, and now I'd better get ready to go.

    Upsetting...

Thursday, July 31, 2008, 06:52 PM GMT [General]

Mark's Mom was diagnosed with colon cancer today, and possibly has lung cancer too. We don't know any more at the moment, he's just gone to see her now. She's physically a very small, thin lady in her 70s, although she's mentally strong, which will help.

On top of that I've just had the results of my smear test and I have to go back in 6 months as I have abnormal cells. But that's OK, hopefully the cells will have returned to normal by then, and if not I'll need some sort of treatment. Nothing to stress about at the moment, just a possible future problem.

We went away yesterday and came back this evening. The weather was dire (yup, the British weather has resumed "normal" service, lol!) but we had a great time. Will post some pics in a bit. Going to Stonehenge tomorrow to celebrate the Sabbat, and I'm looking forward to it so much.

    Another Hot Day....

Monday, July 28, 2008, 07:16 PM GMT [General]

It's been soooo hot today, and now the weather has broke and we've got a beautiful thunderstorm. Love it!

Had a barbecue at Mark's; tuna steaks, prawns in garlic (very smelly!), Greek salad, all sorts of nice things. Mark's cats were chilling out and enjoying the weather as much as we were. Then we went for a long walk, ended up walking through a lovely big field on the way back. Really nice day.

Mark's just on his way back from visiting his Mom in hospital. She's still there and having more tests. They have found a blockage in her colon and has had a biopsy. Won't know the results for a day or more, not sure yet. Mark's quite worried as you can imagine, but we're hoping it's not gonna be bad.

Going to see The Dark Knight in a bit. Will probably cry all the way through it - poor Heath. The reviews are saying he's brilliant in it and that it's a fantastic film. Looking forward to watching it - will take plenty of tissues though!

    Down on the Farm.....

Sunday, July 27, 2008, 03:40 PM GMT [General]

The weather has been amazing this week in England. Summer has finally arrived and I love it!

Last night we went for a drink with friends to celebrate our engagement. Really nice evening.

Today we ate out for breakfast and then went to a place called Hatton Village Farm in Warwickshire, which was lovely. You could buy food and feed and pet the animals. I was in my element, as you can imagine, especially with the goats. They were so friendly and cute. We also bought some chutney ,  mead and elderberry wine for this evening. We're gonna get some nice cheese, butter and rustic bread and have a feast.

If the weather's still good tomorrow we'll have a barbecue at Mark's. Please weather, stay good!!!!!

    Few pics of today:
