Just a quick un cos I'm knackered!!! Just got back from Mom and Dad's. Social Services came round today to interview us and hopefully get some care and help for Mom and Dad. Long interview, but she was very helpful and nice. Even had to interview me as their carer because of the depression, and gave me a phone number to ring for some support too. That was cool, didn't expect it.

Mom's back is still very painful, keeps jarring and she can hardly move, but she's a lot less stressed, emotional, tearful, etc. I know that's because of the healing that was sent. It started helping straightaway, so thank you everyone.

We've got some beautiful weather today and I've spent the whole day in Mom and Dad's house, arghhh! Typical. But, I did walk part of the way home to get some sunshine, and I bought 2 fushcias for my hanging basket on the way back. I feel pretty stressed and tired at the moment, so I wanted to do something nice for me too. They're really pretty.

Yesterday was a busy day, taking Mom's prescription requests up to the doctor, getting their bread, taking Dad to collect their pensions, then back home to go shopping for Mom and Dad - food and bedding. How I'm gonna get the bed sets and duvet to theirs I haven't worked out yet cos it's bloody bulky and heavy!!! I did my shoulder in just carrying it home from the shop yesterday and couldn't sleep half the night (I'm getting old I reckon, lol)  - tomorrow I gotta get it on the bus to theirs, eeeek!!!  But it wasn't all chores - I did get to see The Incredible Hulk at the cinema last night and that was a really, really good film. Enjoyed it.

Tonight I'm gonna chill out and drink wine. Lots of it! I have no energy and can't even be doing with keep fit. Wine is perhaps not the healthiest option, but it's definitely the one I fancy the most!!!!

Beautiful, beautiful sunny weather. I love it! Please last the rest of the week!!!

Many wines can be good for you so don't worry too much about it. When my husband was going through chemotherapy my doctor told me to have a few glasses of red wine every night to keep the anxiety away. I loved her for that!
Your parents are lucky to have you caring for them. It sounds like it's a heavy process to deal with. Mine are near that condition so I may be asking you for advice.

    hugs to you....

Sadly, many children would not be helping their parents like you are. Hope you get some good "you" time, but you should be proud of the way you are helping your parents. You are a good person!
